I’m running to serve Senate District 27 because I believe the people of Chesterfield, Kershaw and Lancaster Counties ought to have a voice in Columbia that will be an active listener for our communities. As your State Senator, I am committed to honoring the promises I make, to always put service above self, and work others to get big things accomplished. I am a Christian and conservative who seeks to honor my Heavenly Father in all that I do. I am a loving husband of more than 45 years to my college-sweetheart, Jane Bridges, and one of the greatest blessings of all: a father to two children and grandfather to five. I truly want to leave District 27 better off for my grandchildren and the generations to come. 

South Carolina has been my home for over 60 years. We are blessed to live among some of our country’s foremost beauty, but our people, our principles and our patriotism is what defines us most. We are not without challenges and if we’re not watchful, the chaos seen around the country will creep into South Carolina. Not on my watch!
